ABC greenlights three pilots


January 27, 2009 ABC on Tuesday greenlighted three drama pilots from ABC Studios, including one exec produced by "Grey's Anatomy" creator/exec producer Shonda Rhimes. "Inside the Box," written by Richard E. Robbins, is set in a Washington network news bureau and centers on an ambitious female news producer and her colleagues. ABC already put a woman in the Oval Office with Rod Lurie's 2005 drama "Commander in Chief," which starred Geena Davis as the first female U.S. president.
