Wild Bunch taking 'Black Death' to Germany


May 13, 2009 French indie giant Wild Bunch is kicking off its German distribution operation with the Middle Ages mystery thriller "Black Death" starring Sean Bean. Germany's Egoli Tossell and Britain's Ecosse Films are producing and Hanway Films is selling the title in Cannes. Wild Bunch launched its German distribution outfit under the radar a few weeks ago, snatching up ex-Telepool executive Marc Gabizon to run the operation out of Munich.
