D Films buys Toronto opener


September 08, 2009 Canadian indie distributor D Films on Tuesday said it acquired the local rights to Jon Amiel's "Creation" from HanWay Films ahead of the Charles Darwin romancer opening the Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday night. Toronto-based D Films picked up all rights to the Paul Bettany/Jennifer Connelly starrer, which is the Canadian distributor's first acquisition since opening its doors last month.
