Liz Heldens inks UMS deal
May 28, 2009 On the heels of landing her first series order with NBC's upcoming drama "Mercy," show creator Liz Heldens has inked a new two-year overall deal with "Mercy" producer Universal Media Studios. Under the seven-figure pact, Heldens will serve as executive producer/showrunner on "Mercy," a dramedy starring Taylor Schilling, Jamie Lee Kirchner and Michelle Trachtenberg as nurses bound in friendship. In addition to creating "Mercy," under her previous overall deal with UMS, Heldens was a co-executive producer on the studio's critically praised drama "Friday Night Lights."
