CBC's 'Hour' dominates Gemini TV awards
October 17, 2007 The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. returned to its winning ways Tuesday night when its primetime talk show "The Hour" dominated the second night of Canada's TV awards. The public broadcaster saw George Stroumboulopoulos earn a Gemini as best talk show host, while "The Hour" was named best talk series and Callum MacLachlan grabbed an award for best production design on a non-fiction show for his work on the CBC's national current affairs series. Other award winners included Chum Television's "Canada's Next Top Model," which took home the Gemini for best reality TV show, and the same private network's "CityLine" series earning top honors for best lifestyle show.
