Dinard prepares for 20th anniversary fest
September 21, 2009 The Dinard British Film Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary with an impressive selection of U.K. titles, Gallic stars and "An Englishman in New York" when the four-day fest kicks off on Oct. 8, organizers said Monday. Director Jean Paul Rappeneau will head a jury comprising actresses Clotide Coureau, Zoe Felix and Sally Hawkins, actors Hugh Bonneville and Stephane Freiss, directors Paul Andrew Williams and Mark Herman, journalist Jean-Pierre Lavoignat, agent Dallas Smith and producer/distributor Carole Scotta. Dinard will also host a special "10 Influential British Directors" focus featuring screenings of recent titles from U.K. helmers including Andrea Arnold's "Fish Tank," James Marsh's "Man on Wire" and John Crowley's "Boy A" which took the top prize at last year's Dinard fest.
