Spike Lee doc makes cut on SXSW lineup

February 01, 2009 Spike Lee, Sebastian Gutierrez, Kathryn Bigelow and Greg Mottola will be representin' at this year's South by Southwest film festival in Austin. Eight films each will compete for the grand jury prize in of the festival's main competition categories: narrative features and documentary features. It's a great continuation of the quality SXSW is known for: plenty of compelling, new filmmaking talent across all budget lines, engaging documentaries ranging from the socially conscious to the hilarious, electrifying music films, prominent Texas themes, cutting-edge and smart Hollywood films, and an even greater exploration into global cinema.
