Report: MySpace Brazil to shutter
June 29, 2009 In an earlier press release, MySpace said it would place all existing offices in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, France, India, Italy, Mexico, Russia, Sweden, and Spain "under review for possible restructure." The decision to shutter Brazil "took us by surprise, because [MySpace] Brazil has been doing well since its first year," MySpace Brazil director of content and new business Angelos Ktenas Jr. was quoted as saying in Aliado Digital. According to Ktenas, the social networking site had grown 400% in less than two years and had 2.5 million local users.
