'This American Life' repeats at doc awards

November 23, 2008 In the limited series category, the prize goes to "Sin City Law," Denis Poncet, Jean Xavier De Lestrade and Remy Burkel's eight-part Sundance Channel episodic chronicling the criminal justice system in Las Vegas. The IDA/ABCNews VideoSource Award for best use of archival news footage goes to "War Child," C. Karim Chrobog's film about a Sudanese child solider who emerges as an international rap star. The winner of the top feature documentary prize -- "Young@Heart" will compete against "Kassim the Dream," "Stranded: I've Come From a Plane That Crashed in the Mountains," "Man on Wire" and "Waltz With Bashir" -- will be announced Dec. 5 at the 2008 IDA Documentary Awards at the DGA Theatre in Los Angeles.
