Winterstern cited controversial director Larry Clark's "Wassup Rockers," which follows a group of skateboarding Latino teens in Los Angeles who are targeted by the police after winning over girls from Beverly Hills. Winterstern plans to produce about two-thirds of his films "in the style of the old studio system," he said, "being intimately involved in the projects from development through production, distribution and marketing."
