Johnny Depp's production company has tapped Terry Zwigoff to direct and co-write an adaptation of the French novel "Happy Days" with co-writer Jerry Stahl. "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Depp's Infinitum Nihil and Graham King's Initial Entertainment Group will produce Laurent Graff's story of a thirtysomething man who decides to leave his wife and children and check himself into a rest home. Zwigoff's credits include the recent "Art School Confidential," "Ghost World" and the director's cut of "Bad Santa," set for an October DVD release.
