NBC's three-hour remake of the 1972 ocean-liner disaster flick "The Poseidon Adventure" sailed off with 9.6 million viewers and 3.1 rating/7 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research.
The telepic, starring Adam Baldwin, Rutger Hauer and Steve Guttenberg, peaked from 10-10:30 p.m. at 10 million viewers and 3.4/8 in the demo.
CBS' lineup was thrown off by a football overrun at the start fo the night that injected 20 million-plus viewers into the eye network's nightly averages.
