More than 9 million people turned out Wednesday for ABC News' two-hour tribute to its longtime anchor Peter Jennings, who died Sunday of lung cancer at the age of 67.
Reporter drew an average of 9.4 million viewers and 2.5 rating/8 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, making it the most-watched program of the night, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research.
Two hours of clips, quips and on-air pratfalls in the "Most Outrageous Moments in TV" (8 million, 2.6/8) special did respectable business for NBC from 8-10 p.m.
