China Star gambles on 'Poker King'


June 24, 2009 One-time powerhouse producer China Star is returning to familiar ground, the world of gambling, with its next movie "Poker King." "Poker King" stars Josie Ho, actress and real-life daughter of Macau gambling mogul Stanley Ho, alongside Heung's son Jacky Heung and Lau Ching-wan ("Mad Detective") and Louis Koo ("Connected"). Heung earned his place in Hong Kong film history with a slew of gambling blockbusters in the early 1990s, including "God of Gamblers" I & II, starring Chow Yun-fat, and "All for the Winner," starring Stephen Chow.
