'Atonement' is best at BAFTAs

February 11, 2008 On a glittering Sunday night at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, "Atonement" took the best film award at the Orange British Academy Film Awards. However, the British hot favorite with 14 nominations was eclipsed by the Edith Piaf biopic "La Vie en Rose," which stole the night with four awards, including one for best actress Marion Cotillard.
