Craig Ferguson to host Tower of Hope Gala

June 10, 2009 Tower Cancer Research Foundation is a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to advancing cancer research, where patients receive the kind of one-on-one care big hospitals can't possibly match. Mishkin, a Tower Cancer Research Foundation board member, will be the recipient of the Hope Award, given each year to an individual who through their actions is a beacon of optimism to cancer sufferers. Oncologist McAndrew, who will receive the Healing Award, recently joined her patient Christina Applegate on a special segment of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," on the cures and treatments of breast cancer.
