Long-gestating Cure album due in October
August 29, 2008 The Cure's long-in-the-works new album, "4:13 Dream," is slated for an Oct. 14 U.S. release via Suretone/Geffen. 30 Seconds to Mars, AFI's Jade Puget, My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump and 65 Days Of Static handled the remixes, royalties from which will be donated to the Red Cross. "Freakshow" and "The Only One" bounce with the effervescent energy of the band's pop hits, while more menacing tracks like "Sleep When I'm Dead" and "Baby Rag Dog Book" wield a rawer, guitar-driven gusto.
