BBC putting channels' content online


November 19, 2008 Underlining its Internet credentials yet further, the BBC is putting its flagship channels BBC1 and BBC2 online, where they will be streamed live beginning Nov. 27, director of vision Jana Bennet said Wednesday. The channels, which air such shows as "EastEnders," "Strictly Come Dancing" and U.S. series including "Heroes," will join the BBC's existing portfolio of digital channels including Cbeebies, BBC News 24, BBC3 and BBC4, which are already streamed online.
