Julianna Margulies joins 'Good Wife'
March 05, 2009 "The Good Wife," from CBS Par and Scott Free Prods., is a female-driven law show about a politician's wife (Margulies) who pursues her original career as a defense attorney. It's a familiar setting for Margulies, who played a fearless attorney on the short-lived Fox drama series "Canterbury's Law." Robert and Michelle King penned the script for "The Good Wife," which will be directed by Charles McDougall, who also helmed the pilot for ABC's "Desperate Housewives."
