U.K. b'casters clear schedules for Jackson
July 07, 2009 U.K. broadcasters and news networks are tearing up their primetime schedules to make room for live coverage of Michael Jackson's funeral and memorial concert Tuesday. BBC2 will carry an hour-and-a-half special "Michael Jackson Memorial" between 6 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. and will simulcast some coverage with BBC News 24, the BBC's round-the-clock channel that will cover the memorial concert live from Los Angeles and BBC HD, its general entertainment high definition channel. Sky News will run Jackson tribute programming in a special program "Michael Jackson: the Farewell" from 5.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. which will also be simulcast on Sky Arts and on the HD versions of both channels.
