Lucas, Friedman set in 'Motion'

May 16, 2007 Lucas, best known as the writer of "Prelude to a Kiss," "The Secret Lives of Dentists" and "Longtime Companion," wrote and directed the 2005 drama "The Dying Gaul." The movie centers on an uptight professor (Perry) struggling with a repressive career and community, as well as headaches caused by his free-spirited brother and sister. Plum is launching the project after the top Sundance Film Festival sale of "Grace Is Gone" to the Weinstein Co. "Motion" begins a Connecticut shoot this July, with plans for a fall 2008 release.
