Three to share 'Phoebe' rights
March 11, 2008 ThinkFilm, Lifetime Networks and Netflix's Red Envelope Entertainment have jointly acquired the North American rights to the Felicity Huffman-Elle Fanning drama "Phoebe in Wonderland" for about $3 million. Daniel Barnz's tale, which premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival, follows a troubled girl (Fanning) who dreams of starring in her school production of "Alice in Wonderland" but gets sidetracked by her fantasy life and increasingly disturbing behavior. The three companies will collaborate on the marketing of the film's theatrical release.
