XM's Logan joins Harpo

July 09, 2008 XM Satellite Radio executive Eric Logan has joined Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Prods. as executive vp, a newly created position that will find him overseeing several divisions, including radio, print and retail. Logan, who will begin his new role in August, also will help manage the company's talent relations efforts across all platforms and will help Harpo with its expansion into digital and mobile initiatives, including partnering with the development team on new-media offerings for the syndicated talk show "Dr. Oz." Since 2004, Logan had been executive vp programming and broadcast operations at XM, which has a partnership with Harpo through the Oprah & Friends channel.
