'Meatballs' in forecast for Sony Animation


July 14, 2008 "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" will be Sony Picture Animation's first stereoscopic 3-D digital release. "Food falling from the sky lends itself so well to 3-D," said Bob Osher, president of Sony Pictures Entertainment's Digital Production division. In release news, Sony Pictures Animation's "Hotel Transylvania" -- which had been slated for Sept. 25, 2009 -- has not announced a new release date.
