CTV locks up 'Flashpoint' second season
August 25, 2008 Canadian broadcaster CTV has ordered a second season of "Flashpoint," the homegrown cop drama that airs Thursday nights on CBS. Toronto-based CTV, which originally developed the drama with indie producers Pink Sky Entertainment and Avamar Entertainment, picked up 13 new episodes that are expected to go into production in early 2009. "Flashpoint," about an elite Toronto tactical police unit, has drawn an average 1.17 million viewers on CTV since its debut in mid-July.
