IPTV shows steady European gains


August 18, 2008 IPTV subscriptions in Western Europe are set to nearly triple over a three-year period, jumping from 5 million in 2007 to 14.7 million in 2010, according to forecasts. The figures, from research group Gartner, show that subscriptions will hit 8 million this year. However, the year-to-year subscriber growth will slow, from 74.3% in 2007 to 28.6% in 2010.
