'South' paw: Gosnell will helm Dis pic

April 16, 2007 Raja Gosnell has signed on to direct "South of the Border," a Walt Disney Pictures comedy being produced by David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and John Jacobs. A live-action movie in which the animals will talk, "South" chronicles the adventures of Chloe, a pampered Beverly Hills Chihuahua accustomed to riding in a purse. Gosnell was Chris Columbus' go-to editor, working on such films as "Home Alone" and "Mrs. Doubtfire" before jumping into the director's chair.
