Kretschmann, Bettany join royal court
August 18, 2007 Paul Bettany and Thomas Kretschmann will join Emily Blunt, Rupert Friend, Miranda Richardson and Jim Broadbent in the royal biopic "The Young Victoria" from producers Graham King and Martin Scorsese. In Jean-Marc Vallee's film, Bettany will play Lord Melbourne, the adviser who helped Britain's Queen Victoria (Blunt) learn about government and politics. The film, written by Julian Fellowes ("Gosford Park"), is a GK Films production produced by King and Scorsese with Tim Headington and Sarah Ferguson.
