Spanish advertising market up 9%


March 05, 2008 Advertising spending in Spain rose more than 9% last year, driven by a 55% jump in Internet advertising revenue compared with 2006, according to a study released Tuesday. Internet ad revenue came in at 482 million euros ($733.2 million), compared with 2006's 310 million euros. Television still is the leader in media ad spending with a 43% share for 2007 -- an increase of 8.7% to 3.4 billion euros ($5.2 billion).
