Fox Reality adds more of 'Academy'
November 06, 2007 The first season of the series took viewers behind the scenes for the first time to witness the grueling 18-week training process that recruits endure to become a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff. During the course, they are taught self-defense and weapon training, how to deal with aggressive assailants and the intricacies of gang warfare, a process that ultimately tests the recruits' endurance. Scott Sternberg Prods. is returning to produce the series, with filming set to begin Nov. 12 on the recruits' first day of training -- aka Black Monday -- for a May premiere.
