New Line eyes 'Dewey' adaptation
November 12, 2008 The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World, a nonfiction book by Vicki Myron with Bret Witter. The book, published in September, tells the story of a kitten, abandoned in a book drop on a cold winter night, who is rescued by workers at a library in rural Iowa. The book strikes similar hues to "Marley & Me," the best-seller about a naughty dog that Fox 2000 adapted into a comedy starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston for a December release.
