Sony Classics nabs 'Baghead'
January 25, 2008 Sony Pictures Classics has picked up all North American rights to "Baghead," the sophomore feature from brothers Mark and Jay Duplass. The specialty label paid what is said to be low- to mid-six figures for the film, which follows a group of four friends on a weekend getaway who or may not be tormented by a stranger wearing a bag over his head. The writer-director team of Mark and Jay Duplass currently have deals with both Universal and Fox Searchlight.
