'Die Hard' stays alive atop charts


December 06, 2007 For the second consecutive week, "Die Hard" finished in the top spot on Nielsen VideoScan's First Alert sales chart and Home Media Magazine's video rental chart, with $10.26 million in rental revenue. Paramount/DreamWorks' "Shrek the Third" held on to the No. 2 spot on the sales chart and managed to beat last week's No. 2 rental, New Line's "Hairspray," to take the second spot on the rental chart as well. Topping the new releases was Fox's "Waitress," which debuted at No. 3 on the rental chart with $6.81 million and at No. 9 on the sales chart.
