Danity Kane debuts atop Billboard 200 once again
March 26, 2008 Once upon a time it was a rarity for an act's first album to debut at No. 1, let alone their first two. The "Making the Band" alums more than doubled their closest rival for the week ending Aug. 23, posting the second-biggest sales week of 2008; Jack Johnson's "Sleep Through the Static" debuted at No. 1 with 375,000 in February. It's the heaviest sales week for a female group since Dixie Chicks' "Taking the Long Way" moved 271,000 in June 2006.
