New 'Saw' tearing up video charts

February 01, 2007 Lionsgate continued to dominate the DVD sales and rental charts for the week ending Sunday, with the gruesome horror sequel "Saw III" cutting its way through the competition to top both the national DVD sales and rental charts. Buena Vista's "The Guardian" debuted at No. 2 on First Alert, with the previous week's top seller, Sony Pictures' "Gridiron Gang," slipping to No. 4. In rental stores, "Saw III" generated an estimated $7.6 million in revenue to take the top spot on Home Media Magazine's video rental chart.
