Paramount signs India home video deal

September 27, 2008 NEW DELHI -- "The Godfather," "Indiana Jones" and other library titles will be distributed in India and Sri Lanka by Big Music & Home Entertainment in an exclusive licensing deal with Paramount Home Entertainment, BMHE announced Saturday. Starting next week, Mumbai-based BMHE -- a part of Reliance Big Entertainment, which funded DreamWorks’ $550 million exit from Paramount -- will distribute library titles from Paramount, DreamWorks Animation SKG and DreamWorks Pictures. BMHE takes over Paramount home video distribution in India from the country's oldest record label, Saregama India, from which BMHE took over Warner Home Video licensing in July.
