'Bee Movie' tops DVD sales


March 20, 2008 Consumers were buzzing over "Bee Movie" last week, when the Paramount/DreamWorks comedy topped the national DVD sales chart in its first week in release. Miramax's "No Country for Old Men," buoyed by its best picture Oscar win, finished a strong second on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart for the week ending March 16. The drama also topped Home Media Magazine's video rental chart for the week, generating an estimated $10.2 million in rental revenue to $9 million for the second-ranked "Bee Movie."
