CBS up on Couric-Palin talks


September 30, 2008 Katie Couric's series of buzzworthy interviews with vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin have boosted "CBS Evening News" slightly. Neither night's newscast was able to move into first or second place against ABC and NBC, though "Evening News" showed ratings increases on both nights. Wednesday's household rating was up 14% to a 4.1, compared with ABC's 5.6 and NBC's 5.3.
