'Dark Knight' to the rescue for Imax


November 06, 2008 ' "The Dark Knight" helped giant-screen exhibitor Imax trim its third-quarter loss Thursday. Imax's bottom line was dented by higher equipment and interest costs as the exhibitor rolled out its digital projection systems. Despite a tough market, Imax executives told analysts during a conference call that their cash position, available credit facilities and recurring revenue from jointly owned theaters will sufficiently fund its continuing digital rollout.
