CineAsia names Zucker top distributor


December 03, 2008 Annual exhibition trade show CineAsia will honor Sony Pictures Releasing International's Mark Zucker as its Distributor of the Year at the Dec. 9-11 event in Macau. A 33-year industry veteran, Zucker has overseen the release of films generating more than $10 billion at the boxoffice, including SPRI's most successful titles, such as "The Da Vinci Code," "Casino Royale," "Quantum of Solace" and the three "Spider-Man" movies. Previous Distributor of the Year honorees at CineAsia include Kurt Rieder of United International Pictures, Paul Hanneman and Tomas Jegeus of 20th Century Fox International, William Ireton of Warner Bros., Jeff Forman of Buena Vista International and Roger Pollock of United International Pictures.
