District of Columbia
October 17, 2007 There's the White House, the U.S. Capitol Building and the National Mall, but the nation's capital can also stand in for a European destination (via the city's historic Adams Morgan neighborhood) or suburban America (by way of the residential homes that line the streets of Georgetown). Productions filming in the district must submit a permit application and expenditure report to the Office of Motion Picture and TV Development before commencing filming. The Office of Motion Picture and TV Development provides a production resource guide to the goods, services and personnel available to filmmakers shooting in the city.
