Korean sales banner Showbox said Friday that local boxoffice hit "Take Off" has, well, taken off with AFM buyers.

The ski jump comedy, which soared to $60 million at the local boxoffice, has been picked up by Amuse Soft Entertainment for Japan and One Dollar Distribution for China, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Catchplay has caught the comedy for Taiwan while Horizon took it for Turkey.

"Take Off" is directed by Kim Yong-hwa and produced by KM Culture, the duo behind "200 Pounds Beauty." Showbox is now on board with the sequel of "200 Pounds Beauty," which is still being financed.

Separately, the Korean seller said its horror title "Possessed" scared up deals for Singapore (Innoform Media), Malaysia (Hwa Yea) and Taiwan (Catchplay).

The company is also eyeing further deals on pre-sale success for its periodic action "The Sword with No Name."

It has already sliced up deal memos to multiple territories including Germany/Benelux (Splendid), U.K. (Showbox), Turkey (Horizon), Thailand (M Pictures), Taiwan (Catchplay) and China (Asian-a).
