Less than two months after being absorbed by a Russian manufacturer, the largest independent tubular manufacturer in North America, John Maneely Co. (JMC), has sold its 188,800-square-foot facility in eastern Houston to Miami-based Elite Sales Inc., an importer and wholesale distributor of wire rope, cable, strand, chain and hardware, for an undisclosed amount.

HFF Closes Self-Storage, Office Sales in Texas

Holliday Fenoglio Fowler L.P. has closed two substantial deals with Texas roots, it has reported. Its Houston-based self storage group completed the sale of a 21-property self storage portfolio with facilities in Florida, Texas, Colorado, Kentucky and Ohio. And its Dallas office announced that it had finalized the sale of the Pyramids at Park Lane in that city.

The topping out of the first luxury high rise rental apartment tower in downtown Houston in more than 40 years was celebrated today with 700 construction workers and invited guests, including Houston’s Mayor Bill White, in attendance. Developed by Finger Cos., the 37-story One Park Place in Houston, Tex., will have 346 rental residences, 12 on each floor, adjacent to the 12-acre Discovery Green, the new downtown park.
