CB Richard Ellis Inc.’s Jim Dieter, who heads the company's industrial practice, will retire in November after a 30-year career in commercial real estate. Ed Schreyer, currently a senior vice president at CBRE and the leader of the Cincinnati Global Corporate Services team, will succeed Dieter as executive managing director of the firm’s industrial services group. Schreyer is a 20-year veteran of CBRE, having started his career in the company's research department and launched his industrial sales career in 1990. Schreyer's team was awarded the 2008 Global Corporate Services Transaction Management Excellence Award and Schreyer is also the recipient of the 2009 William H. McCarthy Award, CBRE's highest honor given to a sales professional. In 2008, CBRE’s industrial services group completed 8,175 sale and lease transactions in the Americas with a total value of $14.6 billion
