Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp. has named Steven Rock senior director of the firm’s Manhattan office. The company—a subsidiary of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services—provides financing services for investors across commercial property sectors. Rock brings 16 years of combined real estate and investment finance experience to the firm. Prior to joining MMCC, he was a senior vice president at the Carlton Group. Before that, Rock held a significant senior advisory role at Citigroup Private Bank, where he was responsible for managing more than $500 million in assets.

“With the capital markets currently in flux, it is more important than ever to provide clients with professional expertise and superior financial and advisory services,” explains Edward Jordan, regional manager of the Manhattan office of Marcus & Millichap. “Steve has established excellent relationships with key lenders, private equity and other financial institutions in the United States and overseas.
“As a senior director at MMCC, Steve will create customized financing packages that optimize the best terms for our private and institutional investor clients, making the transaction process a more seamless one,” adds Jordan. Last year, MMCC closed more than 522 commercial real estate financing transactions.
