Under the deal, she retains control of her masters, with Razor & Tie handling the distribution and marketing of her albums and DVDs.
The label also puts out the wildly successful Kidz Bop series, which features children performing family-friendly versions of hit songs and has sold 8.8 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
With that track record, Razor & Tie has been able to forge relationships with such power players as Starbucks and Wal-Mart to benefit its artists.
