Artist manager Gary Rabin, who played a guiding role in the careers of celebrated Australian artist Ross Wilson and rock act the Angels from the 1970s onwards, died of a suspected heart attack in New York City on Saturday (Oct. 31), aged 57.
In a posting on Wilson's website, the one-time Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock frontman remarked, "Gaz was a staunch RW (Ross Wilson) supporter, godfather to my daughter, great deal-maker and deal-breaker, laugh a minute and always right there in it."
Wilson was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1989. The same honor was bestowed on the Angels in 1998.
