Ballas-Traynor Named People En Espanol Publisher

After a lengthy career in television, Lucia Ballas-Traynor has been named publisher of People en Español. She will take up her new post August 18.
Ballas-Traynor was most recently senior VP and GM of bilingual TV network MTV Tr3s, which she helped launched and where she's been since 2005. MTVu president Stephen Friedman will serve as interim GM of MTV Tr3s as he heads up the search effort for Ballas-Traynor's replacement.
Ballas-Traynor recently spoke about Latino youth culture during the Billboard Latin Music Conference.
